The BioRegulatory approach to neuroendocrine disorders. This webinar will provide an update on the BioRegulatory approach to neuroendocrine disorders with special reference to clinical decision making. Loss of allostasis and the development of disease involves interactions of neural, neuroendocrine and immune mechanisms, with dysfunctional HPA axis activation as a central mechanism. The hypothalamus is a major control centre for the autonomic nervous system and coordinates links between the autonomic nervous and endocrine systems. When considered as an axis, along with the pituitary and adrenal glands, it is a central part of the neuroendocrine system that controls reactions to stress and many body functions, including mood, sexuality and the immune system. The HPA axis is usually controlled by an auto- regulatory feedback system, but when faced with chronic stress the body loses the ability to regulate its response.

  • Why low dose therapy is the preferred first step in treatment
  • The remarkable and unexpected results of recent research
  • Clinical prescribing tips for the treatment of neuroendocrine disorders with BioRegulatory Systems Medicine
  • Why the system that is most reactive to stimuli responds well to the BioRegulatory approach.
